This postcard was sent by William Joseph Earl (#E1) to his mother Mary Earl (nee Divers #29) on 21st May 1904. From the wording on the postcard it reads as if William is working at Belvoir Castle or visiting his uncle William Henry Divers who at that time was the head gardener at Belvoir Castle. William later went on to be a gardener at The Gardens, Welbeck, Worksop, Nottinghamshire (1911 Census) and in 1929 was a gardener at The Gardens, Knowsley, Prescot, Lancashire.
