Arthur Elsdale Boultbee and The Red Baron


Arthur Elsdale Boultbee (#Bou96)

Arthur Elsdale Boultbee was born in December 1897 at St. Ives, Huntingdonshire (now Cambridgeshire). During the First World War, he was a Lieutenant in the Royal Flying Corps and on the 17th March 1917 he was the 27th victim killed by Manfred Albrecht Freiherr von Richthofen, known as The Red Baron. He is buried in the Canadian Cemetery NO.2, Neuville-St. Vaast, Pas de Calais, France, Plot 11, Row A, Grave 2. Arthur was Ann’s 5th cousin, three times removed.
